The Most Romantic Movies of All Time

Here are some of the most romantic movies that are dreamy, passionate and will turn you into a hopeless romantic!

Bonnie and Clyde

This classic is not just about an outlaw spirit but also the story of true love between the famous bank robbers. Played by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, this Depression-era cinema classic is famous for its innovative, modern style. Director Arthur Penn does offer up a lot of bloody action in the film, but at its core this movie is a romance between two crazy psychopaths.

Punch-Drunk Love

This is a wildly romantic movie about love at first sight. Emily Watson plays a woman who spots Sandler’s picture, is immediately smitten and of course, wants to meet him, while Sandler plays the character of an anxiety-ridden salesmen. You would think this would be an easy love but that’s not necessarily true with the many obstacles that get in the way. If you are looking for a funny and moving romantic comedy, then this is it.

Silver Linings Playbook

Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper play two single people trying to get over heartbreak by entering a professional dance contest, albeit above their skill level. Not only does the movie deal with serious subjects and mental illness, the characters and situations are quirky and non-clichéd.

The Handmaiden

This visually thrilling film takes place in both Korea and Japan during the 1930s and is the story of a Japanese heiress who lives in a sprawling estate with her young maid. Then comes along a conman who seeks the heiress’ hand in marriage and suddenly the plot twists with the two women falling in love.
